Graphic system and packaging for Combat Medical military medic supply kits.
I worked with frequent collaborator, Jim Best ID, to create a packaging system for medic packs used in active combat. Jim led the product design and I focused on the communication graphics. At every stage of design, we considered how design could help medics FIND the right supplies quickly and USE them properly. The stakes couldn't be higher.
The MARCH system is core to military medic training. By designing icons for the MARCH system and applying them to packaging, medics can more quickly organize and find supplies by the type of care needed (e.g. respiration vs circulation).
These concepts explore the MARCH system applied to packaging, labels, and other communication vehicles through color, icon, and tactile coding.
